Wooleen Station

Located In the dramatic Murchison region, Wooleen Station represents the very heart and soul of Australia’s outback and operates nature based eco-station stay with a strong focus on the environmental rehabilitation of the WA outback. Covering more than a quarter of a million acres, Wooleen is a cattle station that is playing a leading role in preserving and sustaining the unique ecology of the region and has featured on ABC’s Australian Story 3 times.
The National Trust listed homestead offers a comfortable way to experience the Australian outback, with delicious home style cooking, vast cellar of Western Australian wines and a magnificent formal dining room. Self-contained guesthouses and spectacular scenic bush campsites are available. Wooleen Lake is a heritage listed Wetland and provides a home to a vast array of bird life when it’s full and when it’s dry. In spring, the land comes to life with a multitude of wildflowers after the correct winter rainfall. The Murchison River runs through the Station, only a short drive from the Homestead.
